Mediasation Supports Local Women's Shelter: Give $5 in 5 Days to Make a Difference
Mediasation, a Greenville-based web development firm, recently donated their time and services to create a fundraising website to support of Safe Harbor, Inc., a local nonprofit organization.
Safe Harbor provides a 24-hour emergency shelter and crisis line for victims of domestic violence. The organization is kicking off a unique campaign to raise awareness for their cause. The "5 Dollars in 5 Days" campaign will run from 12:01 a.m. on December 15 through midnight on December 19. Over those 5 days, Safe Harbor is encouraging people to donate as little as 5 dollars through their online platform, 5dollarsin5days.org.
Safe Harbor plays a vital role in the Upstate community. In a state ranked 2nd in the nation for domestic violence-related deaths, the need for advocacy, support, and other victims' services is unmistakable. The 5 Dollars in 5 Days campaign will help Safe Harbor continue meeting these needs.
"Mediasation regularly works with nonprofit organizations to develop online fundraising strategies," says Michael Beck, principal of Mediasation. "We were proud to contribute our time, services, and knowledge to this important cause."
Mediasation worked together with two local companies on the 5 Dollars in 5 Days project. Hill Mullikin Marketing Co. developed the campaign strategy and website design, and Sliced Tomato Productions completed video production for the website.
