Mediasation Participates in GHS Safe Kids Upstate Safety Fest

Kids at the SafeKids Upstate Safety Fest
Mediasation, a Greenville-based web development agency, recently participated in the Safe Kids Upstate Safety Fest for the second consecutive year.

Safe Kids Upstate is affiliated with Safe Kids Worldwide and is led locally by Greenville Hospital System Children’s Hospital. The organization’s mission is to prevent accidental childhood injury.

The annual Safety Fest features demonstrations on various topics, including stranger dangers, Internet safety, fire safety, 911 education, and similar sessions. Over 1,000 children from across the Upstate attend the event each year.

“Mediasation regularly volunteers in support of community programs,” says Ryan Beck, principal of Mediasation. “Our interactive Internet safety exhibit was designed to get kids involved while educating them about the unique dangers that the web can present.”

As part of the Internet safety session, children learned important guidelines for staying safe online, including: never chat with strangers, never agree to meet someone in person that they met online, and never share their personal information.
